Royal Beacon Hotel
The hotel is situated in a quiet, elevated position on the Exmouth's finest Regency terrace, once home to Lady Nelson and Lady Byron. Visitors are provided with breathtaking views over well-tended gardens of the Devon coastline; from the River Exe to Lyme Bay and the red cliffs of Orcombe Point. Your wedding day is so special that nothing should be left to chance.

At the Royal Beacon we can provide you with the venue and service to make it a day to treasure forever. The hotel is licenced to perform the ceremony and our glorious ballroom can provide just the right atmosphere for the whole occasion. Contact our Wedding Organiser to discuss your arrangements.

For over two centuries, this elegant hotel has offered guests a tradition of genuine hospitality - a tradition that has continued in it's present role as Exmouth's finest hotel. Whether you are a business traveller or staying just for pleasure, the Royal Beacon Hotel will exceed your expectations.

We have spent the best part of the last four years upgrading the bedrooms and public areas of the hotel. This year will be no different, we are looking to improve on our ratings and maintain the Royal Beacon Hotel as Exmouth's premier hotel.

Our last addition was five additional rooms, most of which have wonderful sea and estuary views and we also have a newly commissioned lift to all floors. All of our rooms have direct dial phones, trouser press and tea and coffee making facilities. By the end of this year, we will have an additional 17 bedrooms, bringing our total available rooms to 48.

Room service meals are available during restaurant opening hours. Work has also now been completed on our new 120 seat Italian restaurant 'Donato's', opening it up and giving it a nice fresh new look. It compliments Fennels restaurant with it's classic International cuisene and stylish decor.

Exmouth is the perfect base from which to explore the Devon coastline and countryside. Reaching us is easy whichever way you travel. We are only eight miles from the M5, which makes London and the Midlands within easy reach. Exeter boasts excellent rail links and Exeter Airport is just a half hour's journey away.

We and another couple were dropping our kids off at Exeter University and stayed over at the Royal Beacon which is conveniently placed to the uni and in a lovely position overlooking the beach. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but had a drink in the bar and a nice breakfast the next morning. We enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed here a number of times. We always enjoy it. The hotel has character, great views, is well located near the beach, marina and town. The resturant is good and the staff are helpful. far better than bland chain hotels and not much more expensive. Worth the difference.

The roomwas very clean and the staff were very good. However the bath was very uncomfortable as it was impossible to lie and relax as the back of the bath was straight up the wall. Room 111. Breakfast in the room was hit and miss, although I think that was because we had it in our room. Not worth the £120 a night. We stayed for 3 nights in a Deluxe/Sea View Room

We have stayed at the Hotel on a previous occasion and as with that this was very good. We stayed in room 208 on both occasions, a view to die for. The service was great at breakfast and reception staff were very helpful. Whilst some of the furnishings and shower are not the most modern all was quite accceptable. We will stay again when travelling to Exmouth.

A really nice, friendly, efficient hotel who went the extra mile to make my mother's birthday memorable. Nice food and lovely sea views from our top floor rooms. Rooms were particularly spacious. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent hotel.Comfortable, with style rather than so many hotels which have no individuality. The level of service ws very high.Tha ambience changes slightly on Sundays when the a la carte changes to all day roasts but this is a minor point and would certainly not deter us from returning.Highly recommended hotel!

Just stayed for 1 night at The Royal Beacon Hotel. Our room was clean and adequetly furnished,we paid extra for the sea view and it was lovely. We had a retiring drink in the bar and there was a nice ambience. The full english breakfast was very good with plenty of other choices. All in all a pleasant stay and will use it again when visiting my daughter.

The hotel was very welcoming and responded to our enquiry regarding rooms very promptly. The hotel room was very clean and fairly spacious, fantastic view of the estuary from our room - a sea view at no extra cost as promised when we booked. Breakfast was very good - served with a smile - good customer service. The only criticism - the shower though adequate could be hotter and more powerful.
