Established as a bed & breakfast in 1984 by its present owners. Rose Cottage is ideally suited for walkers and cyclists (with secure cycle lock) wishing to take advantage of the area's unspoilt natural beauty.Rose Cottage is situated near to mellor for those cycling Lands End to John O Groats The Yorkshire Dales are also only a 20 minute drive away.We welcome Bikers with under cover secure parking for your bikes.
Guest with dogs are welcome (upto 2 dogs per room by arrangment)we would ask you to bring your pets own bedding and towels. pub nearby that allow dogs into the bar area serving good food.
Situated midway between Preston and Cliltheroe, just 4 miles north of Blackburn, yet enjoying a rural location. Rose Cottage is ideal for the business person wanting a friendly homely environment.

Only five miles from he M6 J31, we are also an ideal overnight stop for those visiting Scotland.

Rose Cottage is at the gateway to the Ribble Valley an unspoilt rural area near to Ribchester Roman Museum just 2miles, Salmesbury hall 3 miles.Whalley Abbey and Clitheroe Castle within a few miles. Rose Cottage is central to many Golf Courses just give us a call as we have all the contact details. Just 1/2 hour from Blackpool, an hour from the Lake District. also the Yorkshire Dale just 20min drive.
NEW to lancashire Brockholes wetlands opened easter 2011 with its floating visitors centre
When walking the Ribble way we will pick you up at the bridge Nr Ribchester and return you the following morning or transport your back-packs to your next destination
