Rockside is a traditional lakeland Guest House full of character and charm. The train station is a 2 minutes walk . The Guest House is centrally located at the head of Windermere village the shops and restaurants are easily accessable and with Bowness and Lake Windermere a short 20 Mins Stroll away - the location is certainly an assett.

We serve substantial breakfasts from quality local produce with an emphasis on home made products with jams marmalade and musili all made with our own fair hands. With ofted an added treat of homemade cookies.

There are nine bedrooms in total. 2 suites with king size beds and seperate lounge area, 5 standard doubles and two triples. Rooms are modern and individually styled all ensuite with shower, toilet, wash-basin, hairdryer and facilities for making tea, coffee. All the rooms have a colour t.v. and full central heating

Rockside has an added bonus of its own car park for 9 vehicles

Directions

If you are travelling by car from the south come off the M6 at junction 36. This is sign posted South Lakes. Follow the Windermere signs along the A591. On entering Windermere you will see the Windermere Hotel on the right. Take the road which is second on the left after seeing the hotel approximately 150 yards and turn into this. A sign on the left indicates the car park. If you are travelling from Scotland the road from Penrith along Ullswater and over Kirkstone Pass is a most scenic introduction to the area. At the bottom of the pass turn left at the traffic island and come half a mile to Windermere
