Adjacent to the hotel are Maxton Lodge Self Catering Apartments, situated in the same grounds. Both are ideally placed in Torquay in the leafy lanes of Chelston, a charming and tranquil area of Torquay providing village shops and identified by its large red-stone Victorian Villas. We are only 800 yards from Torre Abbey Sands and close to the harbour and town. A bus service runs regularly outside our door! Guests of both the hotel and apartments are invited to enjoy the extensive leisure facilities on our holiday complex including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, spa bath and modern gym. Both the hotel and apartments are peacefully located, yet within easy reach of all Torquay's superb attractions, including glorious beaches.
The cosy hotel is warm and friendly, with in-house bar, lounge, terrace and restaurant serving breakfast and 3 course evening meals. All bedrooms in the hotel are ensuite and Bar meals and drinks are available by the outdoor pool. Guests also benefit from an in-house Beauty Salon and indoor amenity room with pool table and table tennis. The self catering apartments are purpose-built to a high standard, and Maxton Lodge has 24 fully equipped, centrally heated apartments located directly next to the Red House Hotel. Kitchens and living rooms offer a high standard of equipment, and private guest parking facilities are on site. Self catering guests are also welcome to take breakfast or dinner in the adjacent Red House Hotel.
