Queen Annes Guest House - York - Delightful 3 Diamond York Guest House, York Minster 5 Mins Away, Non Smoking, Most Ensuites, Parking. Queen Annes Guest House is a charming 3 diamond York bed and breakfast, perfectly situated just 5 minutes walk from York Minster and close to the York City Walls.

Guests have the convenience of their own front door key, and are welcome to come and go as desired. Guests can expect comfortable accommodation and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Facilities include free parking (some off-street) and for the comfort of all our guests we are a non smoking establishment throughout. Guests also benefit from access to a payphone. We take care to cater for special diets by prior arrangement. Children over 3 years of age are most welcome, and the guest house has central heating throughout.

Rooms Description
En-suite facilities are available in most rooms. The attractive bedrooms are all centrally heated with colour televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. Hairdryers and Ironing facilities can be provided on request. Children 16 years and under stay half price when sharing with two adults in a family room.

The family room may also be booked as a twin, double or triple room. We regret we are unable to offer one night stays on a Friday or Saturday, and please note a supplement will apply for single occupancy of our twin or double rooms. Rooms are available from 12 noon (Guests wishing to arrive earlier are welcome to check in their luggage and park their car). The latest check in time is 7pm if possible please, and later arrivals by prior arrangement only.

The bnb was clean and the rooms were very well furnished. There were some complications when it came to checking in. The bnb doesn't take Natwest service 100 debit cards as a holding card,this is something which was never stated on any of the bnbs literature. The bnb also states both in its welcome emails and signs around the reception area that guests are required to pay when checking out,however my boyfriend and I were made to pay upfront. There was a sense that this was because we were in our early twenties and perhaps not the typical guest the bnb in used to servicing. Both of these incidents made the checking-in process very embarrassing. On of the plus side once we asked to speak to the manager, she was very pleasant and apologetic unlike the member of staff we were dealing with. We were even offered an upgrade on our room, which was a generous gesture.The room was beautiful and cleaned on a daily basis.One other slight gripe was the fact that breakfast was only served until 9am
