A unique family run hotel steeped in over a century of history. The 3 star Purbeck House & Louisa Lodge nestle in extensive gardens in the centre of Swanage. They combine the atmosphere of a traditional country house with all the amenities of a modern hotel.
The 38 bedrooms are divided between the main house, constructed in 1875, and the newly built Louisa Lodge. All of the bedrooms are en-suite and some have sea or garden views. For more info purbeckhousehotel.
The hotel occupies 3.5 acres of land, the grounds and buildings incorporating many extraordinary artifacts brought from London by George Burt, one of the founders of the Mowlem construction company and the house's creator. 300 yards from the seafront on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and 15 miles from Bournemouth.

The Blue Pool at Furzebrook constantly varies in colour. Very fine clay in suspension in the water diffacting light in different ways producing a spectrum of colour sometimes green sometimes turquoise.
