Welcome to Prospect House, an elegant Grade II listed Georgian property dating back to the 1820's when it was built for a Packet Ship Captain. Despite its modern amenities the property has retained its character since the days when the Packet Ships set sail for global destinations. Carolyn Hartley looks forward to welcoming you to Prospect House.
Holiday and business guests are assured of a warm welcome and a pleasant stay at Prospect House. The three double en suite rooms are located on the 1st floor all with en-suite facilities, which are named after Sailing Ships. A lovely spacious double room with an oriel window overlooking the garden and stairs down to the en suite bath/shower room. This twin bedded room is furnished with antiques and has a very relaxing atmosphere. This room has an en suite shower.
A very pretty double room with a 5' ft bed and en suite shower. All rooms are spotlessly clean and tidy, a pre-requisite for obtaining AA 4 Diamond rating. Tea and coffee facilities are available at any time from the cubby-hole, a little kitchenette with fridge and kettle situated on the 1st floor landing. A traditional English cooked breakfast is served in the elegant dining room with French windows overlooking the garden. Guests are able to relax in the guest lounge or in the fine Victorian.
Prospect House is only a few minutes away from the beautiful sandy beaches of Falmouth where you can also take advantage of a variety of golf courses, deep sea, coarse and trout fishing, sailing and watersport’s facilities. Access to the South West Coastal Path is within easy reach. Close by are the Cathedral city of Truro, many National Trust Gardens and Properties, Trebah Gardens, the Eden Project (just 45 minutes away), the National Maritime Museum Falmouth and the Tate St Ives. Eating out is easy with an array of pubs and restaurants in Falmouth and a short drive to Mylor Harbour and the Pandora Inn at Restronguet. Day sailing is available from Mylor Harbour with the owner of a Dufour 39ft Yacht Bellanti.
