Prestbury House, Cheltenham

Prestbury House is a 300 year old Grade 2 listed William and Mary (with 250 year old Georgian wing ) English country manor house boasting 4 stars.

The phrase 'English Country House Hotel', with its attendant imagery of warmth, comfort and history could easily have been coined just for Prestbury House, so accurately does it conjure up the higgledy-piggledy charm, characterful rooms and friendly welcome awaiting guests. The Oak panelled rooms, the roaring log fires in winter, the croquet lawns in summer, the uninterupted panoramic views out to the Cotswold Hills, the traditional furnishings and even a ghost story or two all conspire to make any length of stay a memorable event.

We serve outstanding Traditional Breakfasts and for the evenings we our award winning Royal Oak restaurant opposite the hotel which is also our bar.

Beyond the 1 acre of gardens and 5 acres of secluded grounds complete with Highland Cattle, lies a treasure trove of equally engaging delights.

Our fourteen double/twin ensuite bedrooms each exude a traditional and distinctive charm. Depending on your room, you might encounter a four poster, antique furnishings, beams, a garden view - the list goes on (it is always best to check with reservations as to your room type). Each one is as different and as personal as the rooms in a family home, which is exactly what Prestbury House remains.

The bedrooms are either double, King size or twin en-suite categorised between Premiere Bedrooms (in the main house) and Standard Bedrooms (in the 350 yr. old Coach House). All bedrooms are individually furnished. Our ground floor Catorgory One rooms are in the Coach House.
