Port Askaig Hotel, Isle Of Islay

Port Askaig Hotel is an old drove inn and now comprises the old public bar, a snug bar and a bistro style restaurant plus ten bedrooms: Our one single room called Staffa is small with a side view and has a shower room. 5 of our larger rooms enjoy beautiful seaviews some of which have the capability to sleep 3 persons. A large resident's lounge furnished with antique furniture is also available to guests. Iain and Marion Spears continue the tradition of Island Hospitality dating from the family purchase of the hotel in 1958. Both Ileachs, they enjoy sharing their local knowledge thereby helping guests to enjoy the island to the full -whatever their interests might be.
Rates are as follows:
Single room with en-suite shower room) - £45/£50 per night.
Twin/Double room with en-suite bathroom/shower - £90/£100 per night std £120/£150 superior seaview
Twin/Double std room with en-suite bathroom/shower, single occupancy - £70 per night.
Triple std family room with en-suite bathroom/shower - £150 per night. (3 adult persons)
Newly added superior seaview rooms - one can sleep up to four persons from £150
. Discounts for stays of three days or more in the hotel are available on application. Special rates are also available for weekend breaks during low season.
All Rooms are en-suite with hairdryer and hospitality tray. The rooms are all fitted and furnished to a good standard. All of the Hotel bedrooms are situated on the first floor with easy access (no stairs) from the rear of the hotel building. 2 of the new seaview rooms have access to a private terrace - one of these is suitable for those with mobility difficulties
