Nuns Cottage, Richmond

Nuns Cottage, situated in the historic market town of Richmond in North Yorkshire is a Grade II listed building, built in the late 18th century, comprising three cottages, which have been converted into one beautiful stone built house and whilst within five minutes walk from the town's centre it has lovely gardens, surrounded by high stone walls within which a sense of quiet prevails.
To retain its old-world charm, the whole of the house is tastefully decorated in period style and is furnished throughout with antiques. We aim for a very high standard; from your initial welcome and throughout your visit.
In your individually furnished room, you will find such things as sherry and fruit on arrival, towelling robes, through to videos, magazines, books and even wine glasses and hot water bottles!; there is also the usual tea and coffee , colour television etc.
Each guest-room has a private bathroom for your exclusive use and you also have the use of a communal sitting room with a wood burning stove, newspaper and books. You are more than welcome to sit in the gardens, which surround the house.
Breakfast offers a wide choice from cereals and fresh fruit followed by dishes such as scrambled eggs on a toasted muffin, Continental, freshly baked croissants and of course the traditional English breakfast. Locally produced food is used wherever possible.
Packed lunches can be provided for walkers by arrangement.
