No 40 Guest House, York

Elegant 4 star B&B - 2 en-suite guestrooms. Close to Minster with off-street parking. No smoking. No 40 offers two luxury en-suite rooms with real character touches and features. Because we offer a tranquil environment, we are sorry that we cannot accommodate children (even the best children should make some noise!) We're perfectly located, just 5 minutes from York Minster and close to shops and restaurants. We are a non-smoking guest house, and are sorry we are unable to accept pets. Private parking available included.

Our first room, Rose was formerly a Victorian drawing room. Rose contains a super-king, or twin-bedded room, whichever you prefer. This en-suite room also includes a settee, cable television, tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryer, original Victorian fireplace and more. Our second room, Daisy is a doubled-bedded en-suite room, with similar facilities to Rose. Daisy also has the added benefit of overlooking the pretty courtyard garden.

Both rooms 'Rose' and 'Daisy' are en-suite with double glazing, central heating, Freeview package, iron and ironing board, hospitality tray with hot chocolate, coffee and a selection of teas. 'Rose' is a very large room (the original Victorian drawing room) and has a superking bed (which can be split into 2 full size singles if required) - there is also a settee which can be a double bed (usually for a third adult). 'Daisy' is cheerful, sunny double bedroom overlooking the courtyard garden. Both rooms have the original Victorian fireplaces and servants bells and 'Rose' still has the original coving.
