New Mill, Deal

The Accommodation is on the ground floor in the engine house. This was built about 1890 to accommodate the auxiliary machinery to run the mill in windless conditions and was later extended as a grain store. There are two separate apartments each with en suite facilities and full central heating. These can be combined for larger groups of up to six people

The Family Flat has one double bed room and one twin bed room, with a comfortable lounge diner and kitchenette. It is accessed from its own front door and off road parking space.

The Guest Room is smaller with a double bed and more limited cooking facilities. It too has an independent entrance and parking space.The Accommodation can be rented on a daily basis with continental breakfast, or weekly self catering if preferred.

New Mill was built by Holman brothers. the Canterbury Millwrights in 1848. It was modelled on Drapers Mill in Margate, built three years earlier, which is working and can be visited.Holman Brothers ceased trading some decades ago but the yard and some of the buildings remain, forming the car park behind the cinema in Canterbury.
