Mount Royal is an elegant Georgian, part Victorian seafront house overlooking Mounts Bay, St. Michael's Mount and the Lizard peninsula. It has been a family run business for over forty two years providing quality guest accommodation.

Close to many of West Cornwall's finest visitor attractions including St Michaels Mount, Land's End, Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre and is ideally situated close to Penzance's main transport connections. Mount Royal is an ideal choice for those wishing to explore the area or for those who wish to stop off en-route to the Isles of Scilly.

We provide spacious and comfortable well furnished bedrooms with en-suite facilities, and premier rooms are available with spectacular sea views. Classical period ambience and decor, with fine Sanderson and William Morris wall coverings. A comprehensive breakfast is provided in our original and ornate Victorian dining room - with separate tables, white tablecloths, Wedgwood crockery and polished silver cutlery. Enjoy breakfast served to you at your own table in the traditional way, and choose from a comprehensive menu that includes freshly prepared fruit salads, full English breakfasts and freshly smoked poached haddock. Vegetarian choices and special dietary requirements also catered for.

Directions:

On the main A30 road entering Penzance, follow the road to the Town Centre at the roundabout. Following this road along the seafront, Mount Royal will be on your right hand side and the sea (Mounts Bay) will be on your left.

We couldn't fault our stay, wonderful full sea views, lovely breakfast in the victorian dining room and we received an excellent service from the staff. We would highly recommend staying here and this would always be our first choice when we are next down in Penzance.

Mount Royal is close to the beautiful blue-flag beaches of Marazion, Praa Sands and Sennen Cove, the famous art deco Jubilee Pool in Penzance (c1935) - the largest open air lido in the UK, and the dramatic and breathtaking landmarks of St Michaels Mount and Lands End, and the famous Minack Theatre - perched high upon the rugged granite cliffs at Porthcurno. We are also close to many of the small picturesque fishing villages such as Mousehole, the unique sub-tropical gardens of Trengwainton and Trevarno, and many of the fantastic local art galleries such as the highly acclaimed Penlee House Gallery in Penzance and the Barbara Hepworth Museum in St Ives. There are a number of excellent cafe and restaurants in the immediate area bus and rail links are only 5 minutes away.
