Mortons House Hotel
7 nights for the Price of 6 !!!

A charming hotel, Mortons House has been sensitively improved over recent years. Traditional features include an oak panelled drawing room and carved wooden friezes. Bedrooms, including several overlooking Corfe Castle, are decorated with style and individuality. Award winning cuisine is available in the 2AA Rosette restaurant.

Alison Woods and Bev & Ted Clayton welcome you to their enchanting sixteenth century Elizabethan Manor house Hotel. Built in 1590 in the shape of an 'E' to honour Queen Elizabeth I, it has in more recent times been sympathetically converted into a twenty one bedroom hotel.

Situated in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck, Mortons House provides the perfect centre from which to enjoy this beautiful corner of England. The individual guest rooms all have private bathroom, television, telephone and tea & coffee making facilities.

Proud of the commendations received for its traditional English cuisine, Mortons House also boasts an excellent wine list and rooms are available for private parties, conferences and receptions. Personally run by the owners, Mortons House has a dedicated team of staff who have your interests at heart: "Our mission is for you to enjoy this lovely Hotel, the award winning restaurant and the beautiful surroundings."

'We had a 2 day stay with family and had a superb time. The staff where friendly and looked after us. The breakfast was first class and a good choice of food. The evening meal was as good as we have ever had staying at the best hotels around the world. We would come again. ' - RR,West Country,

imagination. Beautiful village and lovely views from our room (we looked out over the castle ruins). The dinner bed & breakfast rate is good value since in London you could expect to pay a substantial proportion of the nightly rate for just the meal alone. The staff are very friendly and helpful. 'We held our wedding reception at Mortons House Hotel on 21st November. Beverly Clayton and her team of staff at Mortons House made the day even more special. From helping to organise the details in the run up through to the smooth running on the day itself everything was perfect. The food was fantastic and the service was great. The staff were there when needed but not too much and the attention to detail was superb. It was everything that we hoped for and more. I would recommend Mortons House to anyone for their wedding reception! ' - H.C.Dorchester,

'My husband and myself stayed for three nights and used this lovely hotel as a base for three days walkling in the Purbecks. We had two wonderful dinners, where Eddie, the Chef, and Amy, the Restaurant Manager, produced fabulous three course dinners to groups averaging 16 in number. All the staff were helpful, in particular the chamber maids. Beverley had made great efforts throughout the planning for this celebration trip. We must also mention how happy Scamp, our Jack Russell, was to be collected to go to his foster family arranged by Happy Hounds. A real gem, offering quaint, comfortable accomodation with modern touches. Thank you ' - Hilary.C.

'Recently stayed here for 3 nights. Staff were friendly and attentive, food was very good, especially considering the numbers to be served in a short space of time. Free WiFi a plus. Rooms were available designed for disabled/wheelchair access. Great location in the village, close to Corfe Castle and Steam Railway station. Hiking routes accessible from the hotel door. Very pleasant stay. ' - IH,Hampshire

'We recently spent a wonderful few days at this lovely hotel. Our room had a view of the castle and was very comfortable. The food is a definate plus, delicious, beautifully presented, and very reasonably priced. You've got some great walks on the doorstep and the beach is only a few miles away. Just wished we could have stayed longer but we'll be back.

'Immediately made to feel welcome. We much enjoyed our visit to Mortons House Hotel. It is a very well run hotel with very friendly yet efficient staff who work together to create a harmonious atmosphere. The decor is very well designed, in the best of country house style, and in keeping with the history of the building. Our room was very comfortable. The quality of the bed linen and towels was of a very high standard. The hotel is in a superb location with stunning views of Corfe Castle and the countryside, and the town itself is full of interest. We mostly enjoyed the food. '
