Moor Farm Bed And Breakfast, Maidenhead

Today it is a pretty Conservation village where the focal point is the village green and pond just five minutes walk from the farm. The stocks and the ducking stool have gone but the village pubs take full advantage of their picturesque location.

On Moor Farm, the timber framed buildings, including the original Manor, have been maintained and restored and there is stabling for 20 horses.

Moor Farm is four miles from Windsor and one mile from Maidenhead. It is an ideal base from which to tour and visit London and the South of England. There are regular train services from Maidenhead and Windsor. The centre of London is just half an hour (approx) by train. Shops and public transport are within walking distance.

Guests staying at Moor Farm have the exclusive use of a wing of this ancient Manor House. The sitting room, dining room and guest bedrooms, part of the original Medieval Hall House dating from the early 13th century, are heavily beamed and furnished with antiques. They generate a feeling of warmth and charm where it is easy to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Although convenient to junction 8/9 of the M4 and just off the A330, Moor Farm is in a rural location on the edge of the Conservation village of Holyport. The house is approached by a path lined with fragrant pink roses and lavender bushes. The walled garden is stocked with wild and cultivated flowers.

The two guest bedrooms are twin bedded, one with an en-suite shower and the other with a private bathroom and are attractively furnished with country fabrics and comfortable beds.

There are very pleasant village pubs within walking distance which serve good food and several highly acclaimed restaurants, including the Waterside and The Fat Duck, within a few miles.
