Monadhliath Hotel
The Monadhliath Hotel was originally built as a church manse, with the remains of the old church still standing in the grounds. It was converted during the 1970's and although recently modernised, it has lost none of it's warmth and character which together with it's extensive grounds of flowers, shrubs and firs encourage you to relax and unwind.

The hotel is situated in the small but welcoming village of Laggan, meeting point of the A86 and A889. It is one of the main routes to the north west of Scotland from the south and east.

All eight bedrooms are fully central heated and luxuriously appointed with private facilities, direct dialling telephones, colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdriers. The comfortable dining room can seat up to twenty people.

All meals are prepared using seasonal fresh local produce and cooked to a high standard ensuring an enjoyable meal. Eating options are not just limited to the dining room, we also offer a very extensive bar menu. The hotel is fully licensed with the bar being very popular with tourists and locals alike.

A splendid, family-run country hotel in unique surroundings. I use this hotel whenever I am able when travelling to and from my home in the Outer Hebrides. Friendly service, nice, chatty folk, excellent food and impressively-stocked bar. This is a real haven of rest and refuge, and completely deaf to the roar of traffic on the A9.

This is how hotels should be! It was comfortable, food was good, cost was reasonable and service was delivered with great charm. Hooray!

Hotel got off to a bad start because it was closed! We were "welcomed" by a surly individual (I think the owners' daughter)which almost made us leave, but subsequent experience made us glad we didn't! It was brilliant - a wonderful location, comfortable beds, and the best breakfast in Scotland.
