Mill Close Farm, Bedale

Mill Close is a working farm situated between the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park in beautiful rolling countryside. Our comfortable accommodation offers peace and tranquillity, off the beaten track, amongst pastures, woodland and wild flowers with a commanding view of the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales.

Our home dates from the early 15th century when it was part of the Hornby Castle Estate, later belonging to the Duke of Leeds. Mill Close has been farmed by the Knox family since the turn of the century. A cluster of stone buildings surrounds the farmhouse, which has commanding views of the Moors & Dales.

Our traditional farmhouse retains its original character and is decorated with quality furnishings and antiques. In our family home we endeavour to provide an undisturbed retreat, with a warm and friendly ambience complimented by a high level of quality and comfort.

Patricia is happy to arrange bouquets, chocolates or champagne to be in your room for that special occasion. The farmhouse is surrounded by a large secluded garden. A terraced area leads to a walled garden with pond, waterfall and patio where guests can enjoy a wealth of garden birds.

The three luxurious double bedrooms, including one four poster suite, all have large top quality 6ft beds, complimentary spring water, handmade chocolates, a selection of fresh fruit and fresh milk in your own silent fridge. Televideos, hairdryers and an extensive collection of books magazines and videos are all available. A tea tray offers a selection of teas, coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, biscuits, wineglasses and a corkscrew.
