Metropole Hotel
This family-run hotel, popular with golfers, is located just 100 yards from the famous Lord Street. Accommodation is bright and modern with family rooms available. In addition to the restaurant that offers a selection of freshly prepared dishes, there is a choice of lounges including a popular bar-lounge.

We like to pride ourselves on the quality of our twenty-three en-suite bedrooms which provide a mixture of single, double and four family rooms. All rooms are tastefully furnished, centrally heated and have colour television, direct dial telephone and tea/coffee making facilities.

Very friendly staff, good bar, room very clean and comfortable although in need of decoration, the stay made extra special because of the great food, which is all homemade and plenty of it, would recommend

very friendly staff, the food was excellent and plenty of it. rooms where a bit old fashioned,but i had a lovely comfortable double bed, had no shower in my room, which was a surprise, had a bath. the remote control to the tv did not work which was a bit of a pain. but overall it was a pleasent stay and i would go back again.
