Spacious, stone-built former farmhouse dating from 1735, in rural location 1 mile North of Hadrian's Wall, offering comfortable rooms: double and twin both en-suite and a double and twin with a sharing bathroom, walled garden, pets by arrangement. Rooms have , central heating, colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. All bathrooms have shower and bath.
We are ideally situated to explore Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Water, Beamish Museum, the great castles of Alnwick, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh and Warkworth. Holy Island and the Farnes, lesser gems like Aydon Castle. Shopping in local towns of Corbridge or Hexham or the Metro Centre.
From Newcastle and A1, take A69. At Wylam/Stamfordham junction follow signs for B6318 & Chollerford. Travel west towards Chollerford on B6318, past reservoirs and Robin Hood Inn. After 500m, take next right, signed Moorhouses. At next T junction turn right. Go past Hadrian Pet Hotel and after 300m, turn into drive opposite cottage- sign on gate
From West: at Errington Arms/ Stagshaw roundabout, junction of A68 and B6318 Miltary Road/Hadrians Wall, head towards Newcastle on B6318. After 3.5 miles you come to the left turn to Moorhouse (ignore turns to Matfen: we are 2 miles out of the village) and then, as above, past Hadrian Pet Hotel.
