Jill and John Hodge welcome you to their home. Situated in the centre of Belford village, this beautiful 200 year old guesthouse provides quality en-suite accommodation, award winning breakfasts and hospitality that is renowned.
When the Great North Road ran through Belford, this sturdy and attractive house was a vital part of the London to Edinburgh stages stopping off schedule, as part of the adjoining Black Swan coaching inn. These days with the village long since bypassed, Market Cross is still an ideal resting-place for the discerning traveller, where, on fine mornings you may be fortunate enough to sample one of Jill's famous Northumbrian breakfasts, out in the open air, in the old enclosed courtyard.
Tea making facilities, colour TV, hair dryer, and many extras are in your room. These include: fresh flowers, chocolates and sweets, well stocked courtesy tray, bathrobes, fluffy towels and toiletries. Enjoy a glass of sherry with our compliments. A refrigerator is conveniently situated for guests providing fresh milk and fruit bowl. Laundry and drying facilities are available.
