Located in the pretty village of Dulcote, about one mile from the magnificent Cathedral City of Wells, we at Manor Farm specialize in giving an unparalleled English country bed and breakfast experience in a comfortable, relaxing environment.
Manor Farm has a long history. From the time of King James I until a few years ago it was a dairy farm, producing milk for Somerset's world famous Cheddar Cheese. Now it is a haven for guests seeking a peaceful stay in an authentic English country farmhouse, far away from the hustle and bustle of day to day living.
You can enjoy delicious,English, Continental,
wholefood or vegetarian breakfasts, with eggs from our free-ranging hens and ducks and locally sourced ingredients. After a leisurely breakfast, you may choose to take a short stroll through the tiny village of Dulcote, past old stone cottages, the stone fountain, the former chapel, across the meadows to the nearby city of Wells just 1 mile away.
The farmhouse has a comfortable, homely feel with oak beams, inglenook fireplaces and a welcoming log-burning stove in the Garden Suite, which is also adapted for wheelchairs. The first floor bedrooms have en suite or private bathrooms, all rooms having complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. There is a large newly built conservatory overlooking the fields and the duckpond, with a splendid view of the Cathedral and Bishops Palace. For accommodation with that extra special feel, with lovely views over peaceful English countryside, sheep, ducks, chickens, geese and friendly cats, then Manor Farm is for you.
We look forward to welcoming you!
