Lydford House is a family run Country House with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, within The Dartmoor National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Lydford House has been welcoming guests for over 100 years and was built by the celebrated artist William Widgery (1822-1893). It stands in 8 acres of delightful gardens and pastureland, surrounded bt the high Tors, in the historic village of Lydford through which the river Lyd rushes, before it tumbles through the renownd National Trust Gorge with its spectacular White Lady waterfall.
Situated close to the Devon/Cornwall border; the high cliffed North Cornish coastline, gentler South Devon coast, Eden Project and many other sites of interest are all less than an hours drive away
