Our Hotel has a unique location in South Lakes Historic Market Town of Ulverston nestled between the Lake District and Morecambe bay, offering a great base for exploring something new or visiting the majestic national park. Through the year there is also a variety of festivals in the town providing a real buzz to an already bustling market town.

Ulverston's historic market has been bustling for over 1000 years. Cobbled streets and a myriad of shops complement the atmosphere. Lonsdale House Hotel offers good quality accommodation in easy reach of Windermere, Coniston, Barrow in furness, Dalton and many other areas of the lakedistrict.

The Hotel had a nice homley pleasant feel with friendly and helpfull staff.the lack of views and free parking were the only negative points about our short stay. The local pubs shops and saturday market were on the door step.The food at hotel was of a very high standard and tasted as good as it looked.
