Longview Hotel, Knutsford

Once the “home” of a victorian merchant, now a friendly, relaxed, family run hotel of character. We have taken care to retain the character of that era with the use of antiques, prints and period decoration, in order to capture much of the best of those times whilst providing a quality and freshness of service, along with all the modern amenities expected by today’s discerning guest.

We believe, being the only independent hotel in the area, that we can offer that “friendly difference” which lifts us far and away from the chain hotel. As soon as you step into our cosy reception you’ll feel that difference, greeted by the warmth of the crackling open log fire, a friendly smile and service that you will receive throughout your stay with us.

Situated just off junction 19 of the M6, the hotel is set within a conservation area, the hotel overlooks Knutsford heath, in what is Cheshire's premier market town. We are a couple of minutes walk from the thatched roofed White Lion pub along with Knutsford's cobbled streets, which are lined with antique and other quality shops, art galleries, more olde world pubs, trendy restaurants and bars.

There is a wealth of English history, set in the many famous Cheshire Country estates, are only just only a short drive away. Tatton Park, one of Englands finest historic estates, managed by Cheshire County Council on behalf of the National Trust, is within 10 minutes walking distance. Alternatively within 30 - 40 minutes drive, you can be enjoying all that either Manchester or the Roman city of Chester have to offer theatres, shops, concert halls, famous sporting venues and the Trafford Centre.

All our 32 bedrooms are tastefully decorated and provided for, with those “little extra touches” such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate and home-made biscuits, a clothes brush, a fluffy white bathrobe, complimentary soaps and even a hot water bottle for those with those cold extremities, to name just a few bits and bobs.

Each bedroom or suite have their own individual character, some having king or half tester beds, the suites have their own private lounges and individual garden You will also be very pleased to note the importance and pride that we place in our housekeeping, which is very much reflected in our “squeaky clean” rooms.
