Latymer Guest House
The Latymer Guest House is a friendly family run business, with 12 en suite bedrooms, dining room and comfortable residents lounge. Set in its own grounds with a private car park.

It is within easy walking distance of Chester City Centre, the most complete walled city in Britain and all of its historical sights-some dating from Roman times. Chester is famous for its unique, mediaeval two-tier Rows-galleries of superb shops. The city has a great night life with fantastic entertainment venues for live music, comedy and theatre and a delicious choice of restaurants!

Near to the Guest House are two golf courses Chester Golf Club and Westminster Park with a nine hole golf course, and the renowned Chester Racecourse, the oldest in Britain.

Motor racing fans will love Oulton Park just twenty minutes by car in the heart of Cheshire with its glorious gardens and country houses. Walkers and ramblers can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of nearby North Wales with its castles, fine beaches and the stunning Snowdonia National Park.

Less than an hour's drive away is Llangollen,famous for its preserved steam railway, the Eisteddfod and water sports events on the River Dee rapids.

HOW TO FIND US:
Take the M6 to Junction 20, turn onto M56 following Chester signs. 20 miles further come off the M56 onto the M53 following Chester/Wrexham signs. The M53 becomes the A55 (Motorway standard road to Conway - forming a Chester ringroad).
From joining the M53 (A55) take the third interchange (Chester/Wrexham road A483) turning towards Chester. Travel for one mile crossing two small roundabouts and passing the Chester Business Park on your right. At the 3rd roundabout take the second left onto the A5104 direction Saltney.
Latymer Guest House is situated about 1/2 mile on the right hand side. We are an orange brick building set slightly back from the road.

Lovely house, spacious clean rooms, very friendly welcoming family. Quiet location but within walking distance of Chester town centre. Would highly recommend.

You will not receive a more welcoming arrival than from Louise and Paul the owners of the Latymer Hotel. Nothing is too much trouble to make your stay more pleasurable. Makes a refreshing change to meet owners that treat you as part of the family whilst on your stay instead of another number through the door. Room was large and airy and had all the amenities we have grown to expect. As a frequent traveller this is one of the best stays I have experienced. A true home from home.

The hotel needs to accept plastic. It was very inconvienient to have to pay pay in cash. Much more needs to be spent to upgrade the place. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

We found the couple who ran the Latymer to be incredibly helpful, accomodating and friendly -- by far the most friendly of the eight places we stayed. While we saw the sights, they made phone calls for us about a nearby theater performance. Their directions were good, and they provided plenty of brochures about their city, the area, and northern Wales. They were warm and welcoming, and we really felt at home. The breakfast was also excellent. The room was immaculate, and the beds comfortable. They have owned the hotel for less than a year, and are working on a much needed cosmetic update, as the previous owners had let things get a bit shabby, but they are making steady progress. If you are looking for a luxurious, elegant place, this probably won't work for you, but if you want a friendly, comfortable family atmosphere with good food, this is definitely the place to go. I highly recommend it!
