A warm welcome awaits at the family run Lancaster Town House. Our guest house is perfectly located for both business and leisure travellers wishing to be within walking distance of historic Lancaster and just one mile from the M6 motorway. Nearby attractions include the wonderful Lake District, the coast, the Peak District and the Lune valley. We are also close to the port of Heysham (6.5 miles) where the ferries to the Isle of Man. If you want to break your journey between north and south, The Lancaster Town House makes an excellent stopping-off point.

It is just a short walk to all the delights of Lancaster, yet we have the benefit of a quieter location; ensuring a good night’s sleep. We are proud of our reputation for hospitality that brings back valued guests year after year. All our rooms are en-suite and well equipped with all you will need. Breakfast is satisfying and British and the atmosphere here at the Lancaster, like a home from home. A friendly atmosphere, good food and a very high standard of cleanliness are guaranteed. To give a more individual touch, all rooms are named after flowers and roses rather than numbered.

There are eight rooms available for our guests; all are en-suite and the entire premises is non-smoking. Rooms have central heating, beverage making facilities, colour text-televisions, hairdryers and radio alarm clocks. We also have one room available for the mobility impaired, please do ask about availability if this is a requirement. A cot and highchair are also available for our very welcome smaller guests, on request.

Our comfy lounge with TV, a selection of board games and books is the place to unwind and enjoy the company of fellow travellers. The bright and welcoming dining room is where a hearty choice of breakfasts is served. We have unrestricted off-road parking available adjacent to the property and a secure yard for motor bikes and bicycles if required.

We are very proud to have been awarded a 3 Star Rating by Visit Britain (the British Tourism Board) and are an associate member of the AA and members of the Welcome Host Scheme. Our Green Lantern Environmental Certificate and full fire certificate are your assurance of safety. We are happy to help you plan your stay and have access to all the up to date information on what’s going on in and around Lancaster. Top shows, comedians, Karaoke nights, world cuisine, superb shopping and a broad choice of activities are all on offer, in this wonderful city.
