Kingswood Hotel, Weymouth

Originally built in the early 1800`s it was the home of the Surgeon commander of the naval base at Portland. The grounds then went all the way down to the waters edge. It first became a Hotel in 1930 getting its first drinks licence in 1951. During the second World War the Kingswood was commandeered and used to house the American armed forces.

The hotel has been refurbished inside and out including the gardens which again won prizes in the local Britain in bloom contest. The Kingswood Hotel is family run, fully licensed residential Free house with extensive car parking and a large garden. The bar always has a selection of both local and national beers, a friendly atmosphere and is open to both residents and non residents throughout the year.

We are now pleased to offer self catering accommodation situated at the bottom of our garden. The accommodation sleeps up to 6, has a spacious lounge and a beautiful garden area with your own hot tub to relax in during your stay. All our rooms have private bathrooms and are decorated to the highest standards. They have colour TV, hospitality tray for hot drinks and hair driers. An ironing board is available for guests use and a laundry service by arrangement. We are proud of our room service which will provide clean towels every day.

There is a full and varied menu which includes full English breakfast, an extensive lunch and evening menu featuring snacks, fish, roasts and steaks. The Kitchen has everything that you would need to cater for yourself during your stay. Every Sunday roast carvery is served in our restaurant. Finally, We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Switch and Delta and American Express.
