Kerrington House, Axminster

Set in beautifully landscaped gardens on the edge of Axminster, Kerrington House has been lovingly and sympathetically restored retaining many period features such as marble fireplaces and fine plasterwork ceilings. Decorated in soft neutral colours, the hotel has been furnished with relaxation in mind, with a personal collection of antiques and favourite pieces to suit the mood of individual rooms.

The six bedrooms have en-suite shower or bath rooms with bath sheets and robes, colour TV, direct dial telephone, hot drinks facilities and hairdryers.

The bedrooms are luxuriously appointed with inviting easy chairs and supremely comfortable beds. All the rooms are individually designed, ranging from antique French to Victorian Country House style.

Kerrington House is the ideal base for exploring Devon and neighbouring Dorset and Somerset. Axminster, home of the world famous carpets, is a sleepy market town surrounded by gentle rolling vales and hills hiding picturesque thatched villages. Axminster is also the home of River Cottage HQ, River Cottage Canteen and Local Produce Store.


Just a 10 minute walk away is the Flamingo Pool with a large heated indoor swimming pool, a hydrotherapy pool and fitness centre. A little further away are all-weather tennis courts and indoor bowls.

This is superb country for walking, cycling, swimming, fishing, golf and many other pursuits. Lyme Regis, Beer, Branscombe and the Heritage Coast are all within a 10 to 20 minute drive. The three county towns of Exeter, Taunton and Dorchester are within an hours drive.
