Ivy House
A warm welcome, a comfy bed and a hearty breakfast awaits you at this Stranraer B&B. You will feel very much at home in this centre of town Victorian house owned by Wilma and Jimmy McMillan. We are ideally situated for the traveller or holiday maker as we are located only a few hundred yards from the main Irish ferry port and train station.

At Ivy House we take pride in our Scottish hospitality and try to make our guests feel as much at home as possible. We are a fairly small family run house and take heart from the satisfaction we have given to our guests in the past.

Apart from a satisfactory stay with us we are sure you will more than enjoy our Full Scottish Breakfast. Breakfast starts at 7.30am and finishes at 9.30 ( although special arangements can be made for a 7.00am breakfast).

All our guests are given a key to the main door to enable them come and go as they please.

Went to Stranraer Speakers Club Burns Supper. Weather was very cold and wet, the B&B was NOT. Mr and Mrs McMillan were very warm and welcoming room was clean warm and the en-suite was of a good size. Mr McMillan kindly woke us up in the morning for breakfast which was more than ample with lots of choices, fresh juices, cereal's and fresh fruit were also laid on. sincerly Rosemary Mulholland.

Although I enquired through lodging-world 3 times initially I did not receive any reply from Ivy House through them. I telephoned Ivy House myself and booked it that way. Ivy House is very clean, airy and very well kept guest house. Mr and Mrs McMillan are a lovely friendly couple. We will most definately stay there again. It is very convenient for the Ferry port and I certainly would not look for anywhere else in Stranraer to stay.
