Hunters Moon Hotel
The Hunters Moon Hotel is pleasantly situated close to the Byes, a National Trust walk alongside the River Sid, and within easy walking distance of the town centre. Once known as "Salcombe House", the hotel has been in the hands of the Fisher Family since 1958.Sidmouth lies at the heart of the Heritage Coast, nestling between sandstone cliffs in a softly curving bay. Walkers will discover and enjoy the many coastal and inland paths.

The period lounge offers an elegant yet informal atmosphere from where one can enjoy the view of the lawns and gardens. This comfortable, personally owned and run, Georgian manor house is set in three acres of grounds, within level walking distance of the town centre and the esplanade. Accommodation is traditional in style but facilities are modern and the restaurant serves imaginative carefully prepared meals.

The hotel dining room with its typical Georgian ceiling, offers a varied Menu, utilising fine local produce and freshly caught fish. The Hotel Bar also has tables and chairs outside on hot sunny days, and is located at the end of the Lounge on the right.

Never received any reply to our enquiry. Very disappointed. Therefore never stayed. Your site obviously does not guarantee a reply from the hotels advertised. Even if they did not have a room for our dates I would have thought they would have had the decency to reply to my enquiry.

Good small hotel. Well decorated with comfortable rooms and particularly nice bathroom. No evening meals offered while we were there as it was Folk Festival week. Breakfasts were good. Location convenient for town. We'd certainly consider staying there again
