Hope Hill Guest House
Hopehill is a large old seventeenth century house with a Victorian façade, incorporating panoramic views with an acre of gardens overlooking the town. Our bed rooms are spacious and comfortable with en-suite facilities.

We have private parking and secure garaging for motor bikes and cycles. Guests are welcome to enjoy the extensive gardens. We are close to the centre of town (5 minutes walking) where guests can enjoy a wide variety of cuisine at very reasonable prices, for those preferring a more local restaurant the Mayfield is near by and offers excellent value.

Anne and Bill Borthwick have been operating Hopehill as a guest house for many years and have built up a welcoming reputation for a friendly and enjoyable stay, both for travellers and business people.

Great stay, very friendly hosts (nice chat, helped me with my wet camera, so I could use it, turned on the heating for me), I will have very good memories. Reccomend to all!

4 gold stars een hele fijne en goede ontvangst met een kamer die die boven alle verwachtingen was , met een prachtig uitzicht over de stad . werkelijk aan te bevelen . ontbijt was goed verzorgt alle reden om terug te gaan

Great hotel clean and very friendly owners the Scottish breakfast was outstanding the tv was a bit hiffy in this day and age one would expect a flat screen on the walls other than that great budget value hotel for walkers and hikers

Perfect, very clean and accomodating with those special extras one enjoys when away from home. Lovely room, with en-suite, lovely views, excellent breakfast, and all so reasonably priced. Would stay there again when in the area.
