Hilderstone is a village ideally situated close many of the attractions; Stone, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent and 8 miles from the M6 The big theme park Alton Towers 20 minutes away, Trentham Gardens and the Monkey Forest again just 20minutes away

We have the potteries including Gladstone potteries, Wedgwood, and many of the factory shops all very close by.

The farm itself used to be a dairy farm with about 60 acres not nearly big enough in this day and age. And the barns you will be staying in used to be the milking and housing for the cows.

When we brought the farm in 2000 it had only 10 acres left with the farm and the brick barns were derelict. For a while we used them for stables and storage housing calves and a pig called Suzy.

But in June 2005 we began the conversion and by Christmas we moved into the Little Barn. I had promised a friend of mine that I would be ready for guest by May 2006 as she wanted a big family party and a helicopter to land in the fields. I realized by the end of March I was not going to be ready, so I phoned her to tell her, she said no problem I will try to find accommodation else where. But guess what? There wasn't any, she said “ you have to be ready.” Actually that was brilliant because it bulleted me into action, I had 6 weeks to finish the Big Barn and move out of the Little Barn and get it ready for visitors.

And believe it or not, I did it June 2006 we were ready to open! So here we are today we have 3 en-suite rooms in the Little Barn which can be completely self –contained if visitors want to look after themselves and 2 further en-suit rooms in the Big Barn.
