The estate extends south to the Ridgeway with spectacular views over Weymouth Bay and the Isle of Portland and the beautiful chalk downs of South Dorset.

We are open all year, and a warm welcome awaits you at Higher Came Farmhouse.

You can relax in our comfortable residents lounge where maps and books can be studied for planning the days events, or where you can simply enjoy the company of other guests, or take a stroll and enjoy the gardens and the tranquil atmosphere of this beautiful house, soft and pretty inside with an old fashioned feel. The impressive bedrooms are homely and warm with wonderful views of the large gardens and surrounding countryside. This traditional farmhouse has spacious and attractively furnished bedrooms. Our stay was very enjoyable. We were welcomed, given a key and able to come and go as we pleased. Our room was lovely, large, pretty and clean with TV, magazines, books, hairdryer and plenty of cupboard space. Tea and coffee was available in our room with a little fridge just outside with fresh milk. Our bathroom with shower was just outside in the passage but was for our sole use. Our dog was not only permitted but made welcome. We were told however that she could not stay in the room while we were at breakfast but as we have a dog tube where she can be contained, it was permitted. Breakfast was good and suited our needs. Lovely place to stay.

Nearby Attractions:

Located just 2 miles from the historic market town of Dorchester, known by the Romans as Durnovaria, which has an excellent museum, ancient monuments such as Maiden Castle and a variety of National Trust Houses to visit. Weymouth Bay and the Isle of Portland are only 8 miles south and offer excellent beaches, a wide range of watersports, walking, rock climbing and birdwatching.
We are very fortunate to have a wide variety of good places to eat within a few miles of the farmhouse ranging from country pubs to an excellent variety of restaurants.
