A warm,friendly welcome awaits you at Hazeldean, here you will find a cosy, family-run guest house that you will want to return to time and time again.Hazeldean makes an ideal base to visit the Northern Lake District and the West coast, with Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish Borders only a short distance to the north of the city, we are also only approximately 10 miles from Gretna Green and The Old Blacksmith’s Shop.

You can find us just four miles west of Carlisle, on the A595, a regular bus route which gives easy access to Carlisle City Centre. The bus service also runs regularly to Wigton, Maryport, Cockermouth and Keswick.Here at Hazeldean you will enjoy a home cooked or continental breakfast in our sunny dining room, you can also relax with a magazine or watch T.V. in our comfortable lounge. We are surrounded by a large garden where you can relax and enjoy the wildlife, (you will find picnic tables which are there for your convenience).

Although we are not licensed we are happy to provide glasses for your beer, wine or refreshments.We have comfortable, double en-suite rooms and one twin room, we also have a single room if you prefer. All rooms have television with tea and coffee making facilities and are very clean and comfortable with central heating and double glazing to keep you warm in the winter.

We are pleased to welcome walkers and cyclists. We are conveniently situated on the popular Border Reiver walkers path and close to the Cumbria Way cyclists route. We have a secure lock up for bicycles and we can provide a drying area with ironing facilities if required. The Cumbrian Tourist Board has given us a three star rating. We also welcome children and well behaved pets.
