This seventeenth-century coaching inn which sits high in the hills overlooking beautiful countryside towards the sea is located on the old stagecoach route to Holyhead between Denbigh and Abergele. The Hawk & Buckle is an excellent base from which to explore North Wales, Helen & Rod are excellent hosts who go out of their way to make you feel welcome, the accomodation has been well refurbished and the food is out of this world, we can't wait to visit again.

Would thoroughly recommend for those wanting excellent accommodation in a quiet, picturesque location. Only marred by no hot water on arrival and lack of pressure on the shower. Good ale and food in adjoing Inn and a great breakfast.
