----------------------------------------------------------------
Gosforth Hall Inn was originally a Grade II* listed building that was operating as an Hotel. In 2008 Rod and Barbara renamed the Hotel to an Inn to emphasise the warm and relaxed home-from-home feel you get from within the building. Operating one menu that offers a choice of dishes including Rod's famous Homemade Pies, the food can be eaten in the Bar, Lounge or Restaurant. To accompany the meal a range of well kept real ales and selection of wines and soft drinks is available. Gosforth Hall Inn has its own water supply and is fed by a Holy Well. The Inn is well liked and often in high demand, as a result, Rod & Barbara have gained planning permission to build and extra 13 bedrooms which should be up and running before December 2011.

A 10-15 minute drive from the hotel will lead you to Wastwater, the deepest Lake in England or Scafell Pike, the Highest Mountain in England.

Listed in the CAMRA Good Beer guide since 2005, the Bar offers an alternating range of quality Real Ales including, Fever Pitch, Hawkshead, Top Totty, Black Sheep, Theakston's, Thirst Run and Golden Pippen to name a few.

FREE WIFI Access - Wireless Broadband Connection is available to both Residents and Non-Residents.

The Hotel offers 9 en-suite guest bedrooms, all have tea and coffee making facilities and televisions. Our rooms have telephones that offer connections for Laptops, however, if you have a WIFI card we offer free Internet access in the Lounge.

The spacious Suite boasts a 4-poster bed, a giant en-suite bath, exposed beams from the hull of a sunken ship and proves popular for a special weekend away.

We serve good fresh home-cooked food, based on fresh local produce, seven evenings a week and offer a choice to eat in the restaurant, bar or lounge. We recommend booking in advance for a Friday or Saturday evening meal.

With Eskdale, St Bees and Seascale golf courses close by, Golfers can set themselves a 3-peak challange over the weekend.

For the Fishermen the Hall is positioned near to the River Esk and Irt, where 'The Occasional Salmon' was filmed

A place with character - very enjoyable stay. Perfectly placed for exploring the Western area of the Lake District. Very useful to have free WiFi in the rooms. Food was generally very good though a minor criticism is that I would suggest possibly to include some fruit with the breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.
