Golant Hotel
Here at Golant Bed and Breakfast we provide you with your own front door key so that you may come and go as you wish. We have a variety of rooms, from twin to double and triple. All our rooms are centrally heated for those winter months with TV and coffee making facilities. There are en-suite, some with shower. All rooms have their own washing area and shaver points. All our rooms are comfortably furnished, some with really great views of the cornish coast. There is also an ironing board, clothes line and needlework box, which you are welcome to use at any time.

The Golant Bed and Breakfast has a private bar on the first floor which is fully licensed and tastfully decorated to ensure that you feel comfortable should you wish to join us for a quiet drink. We have a great range of drinks to cater for all and are happy to entertain you before a night out or even after last orders have been called in the towns bars. Many guests join us for a quick night cap to end the evening!

Breakfast is served between 8:30 am and 9:30 am 7 days a week.
Breakfast is informal and and we will do our best to accomodate you with any special requirements you may have.

We realise that you will have a full day ahead of you and therefore our breakfast is a Full English with tea, coffee and toast. Cereals are available every morning too.

What can I say? All I can say is that I and a group of friends have been coming back to The Golant Hotel for the last 7 years every may..and already booked up for next year!! matt and linda are very good host and like everyone has said nothing is to much trouble.. we have never had a problem with the hotel, alway clean and tidy..and matts Bar is very good and well priced, a great place to start the night.. over the years we have become very good friend with matt and linda and you will not find two better people or a better hotel in Newquay. 10 out of 10 every year..

Stay here every Easter. Clean rooms, lovely food, and friendly people. Nothing too much trouble , short walk to beach. Would recommend for families. If you are going to Newquay stop here.

Amazing place. Amazing hotel. Matt and Linda are great and will do anything for you. Fantastic breakfast and great bar open until whenever. I have been over 7 times, both as a couple and as a group of lads. Would 100% reccomend.

Stayed here on my first ever visit to Newquay and have been back several times since. Matt and Linda have become friends of mine as has their lovely dog Bryn, very friendly people with great knowledge of the local area and i highly recommend this place to anyone who goes. Rooms are well kept and that breakfast sorts you out for the day :)

Really good hotel, Matt and Linda are great hosts and very welcoming. The room we used was very comfortable and clean. The bar is good and Matt done a great job keeping us all entertained. In the mornings Linda & Matt provide a great breakfast too. All in All a great place to stay great price and a great Hotel 10 out of 10.... cheers guys

I would score The Golant Hotel 10/10. It is the best B&B I've stayed at and would definitely recommend it to friends. Matt and Linda are so welcoming and friendly, you feel really at home. The bar is great and a good place to socialise. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for a great stay :-)

continuation of last review).. Sadly Pete was Killed in a motorcycle accident. Our stay at The Golant was simply one of the best holidays ever. Does that bar ever close? Amazing Town, amazing hotel, amazing memories. I will certainly be going back.

I came to Newquay with two mates Nik and Pete. Drove down from Northamptonshire and arrived at about 2.30 am. We kipped in our car until about 8.30 when we rang the doorbell and Matt and Linda let us in. Matt laughed when we told him we'd been outside the hotel all night in the car and said we could have rung when we arrived as Matt is always awake. I felt i had met a kindred spirit as i too am a bit of an insomniac. Anyway, onto the golant itself...what can i say. It was amazing. Small friendly and clean, not to mention exceptional value for money. Myself and my mates laughed all through the holiday week as we exchanged jokes and stories late into the night at the hotel bar..and despite not getting to bed until 4 am most days, i pride myself at never missing a breakfast...which i may say were always delicious. Big star for you Linda. We always intended to go back to the golant, but circumstances beyond our control always stopped us. Sadly Pete was killed last year in a motorcycle acci

It was lovely.. the people that owned the B&B were really nice. Its only 5 minutes from town and about 8 minutes to the beach... very clean, and a nice breakfast to start the day with... thanks

Loved it. Room was big and cosy, good facilities for the baby, yummy breakfast and Linda, Matt and Brin the dog were the most welcoming and warm hosts we could have asked for. Would definitely go back.

Right from booking on the phone I knew the owners Matt and Linda were great, they couldnt do enough storing surfboards in their living room, giving extra tea/coffee and milks and just making the weekend so fun, friendly and relaxed. The 24hr bar was also great way tio meet other guests, chat and have late, good priced drinks. Will def stay here next time i come to Newquay thanks again Matt and Linda and Bryn the doggie!

I enjoyed my couple of days at the Golant. For what I was charged, it was good value for money. The facilities were fairly basic, but it was clean, comfortable and the owners were friendly and welcoming. A well cooked breakfast.

The Hotel is right in the centre of Newquay, the town centre is a 2-3mins walk, i was given a key to the Hotel doors so i had 24hr access to my room, which was great as i enjoyed the nightlife as well as the beach. The off road car parking was very good, and the area was free from noise at night.

we had an amazing time at the Golant. Matt and Linda are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Fab location, Fab room with great view and very clean. Breakfast to set u up for the day and the nite time entertainment in the bar was hilarious. I just wish I was there NOW!

stayed at the golant hotel and found the hosts matt and linda to be exceptionally friendly. the rooms were clean and the atmosphere of the place was brilliant. good breakfast cooked fresh for each person. the rooms were clean and towels always available, nothing is too much trouble for these amazing hosts. We have already booked again for the New Year.

Brilliant hotel and owners very very friendly. breakfast you can have anything you want. Full english, cereal, toast and all made to perfection. Rooms were tidied regularly and towels always left for us. Me and the girlfriend have been 4 times now, everytime stayed here. Very welcoming, great bar and they can't do enough for you. 12/10 fully reccomended.

I stayed at the Golant on two separate days. I found the room comfortable and for the price,reasonable.Linda & matt, the owners were a very friendly couple and Linda even collected me from the airport on my arrival in Newquay and also took me back there when i was going home.I would definately stay there again.

Amazing b&b, matt and linda oh and lets not forget byrn,where fantasic hosts, especially matt who kept the bar open all night!! Lindas breakfasts were fab, set us up for the day! The room was great with a beautiful view, outstanding! Recommend the Golant hotel is the best place to stay while in newquay! Thanku both! x

AMAZING! Matt and Lindaare two of the most incredible people. The hospitality they gave from the second you entered the hotel,was great. Their Friendliness was very mush appreciated! They were more like family to us. Will definately be going back. Stayed for 2 nights and as soon as we went to drive home, we stopped the car and booked in for an EXTRA night! =) Did not want to leave. You will never find two nicer people. ThankYou xxx

I stayed at the Golant for my stag party weekend. There were fourteen of us and everyone of us were impressed with the Golant. The accommodation is of a good standard and is within a few minutes walk of the town centre. What makes this hotel memorable is the owners Matt and Linda. They were oustanding hosts! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone, Whoop Whoop! :)
