The Library is dedicated to Donald Campbell, who is famous for becoming the first person to break the 200 mph water speed record on Ullswater back in 1955. He announced his achievement to the waiting press from a balcony which is now the Library sun lounge. The Library contains a lot of interesting information about Campbell's time at Ullswater, including an original signed menu from the celebration dinner held at the hotel.
