Richmond is a fascinating historical town where narrow cobbled streets and Georgian dwellings are watched over by the oldest Norman castle in England.
On a quiet cobbled street in the centre stands this charming 4 Star Boutique Townhouse Hotel and award winning 2 AA Rosette Restaurant, equally well known for our friendly welcome and excellent food.
It's clear from the first glance at our ever changing, fresh, locally sourced menus that there is an innate understanding, and love, of all food. Local influences are evident in dishes such as braised Yorkshire feather blade and pan-fried wild East Coast sea bass - but expect French and Italian flavours too. Desserts can include dishes such as baked rice pudding with Pedro Ximinez soaked Medjool dates and Spotted Dick with bayleaf custard, pear & cinnamon tatin or a very fine selection from 856 British cheeses.
Our stylish 2 Rosette Restaurant is found in The Georgian dining room which complements the food with its restored bare floorboards, antique tables, fine tableware and designer lighting.
The originality and flair of the menu extends to the stylish and recently renovated, individually designed guest bedrooms. Massive, unique solid oak beds designed and made for the hotel, with pocket sprung/memory foam mattresses, designer fabrics and furnishings make for ultimate relaxation. There are Swedish power showers and heated marble floors, huge bath tubs and or wet rooms in all of our stunning fully en suite bathrooms, with one room featuring the amazing Roman style, Napoli or 'egg' bath, set on a raised, heated marble plinth in the bedroom and at the foot of a huge seven foot wide solid oak bed.
Or for a truly memorable and unique stay why not try The Famous Mousey Thompson Suite, complete with hand carved solid oak furniture by Robert Thompson, the “mouse man of Kilburn”. Having found the four mice hidden in the room retire to the awesome 1.5 ton, massive four poster bed, designed hand made and built in the room itself. Made from solid green oak this dominates this luxurious suite with its 15” deep, 2000 pocket sprung mattress with 4“ of memory foam, plump cushions and memory foam pillows you are guaranteed total relaxation.
This suite also has original ships timber beams dating from 1650, a working (mouse man) fireplace, private dining suite, stunning en suite with spa bath, underwater lighting, bidet, powerful top of the range, wireless controlled Grohe Rain Shower, heated solid marble floors, big fluffy white bath sheets and White Co. toiletries for that added luxury.
