Ferniehirst Mill Lodge
Ferniehirst Mill Lodge was built in 1980. Its modern design gives all the amenities required for your comfort whilst blending with the existing mill buildings and stables.
The Lodge is 2.5 miles south of Jedburgh, situated in a secluded valley beside the Jed Water in its own 25 acres of land. It is a haven for bird life.
The accommodation consists of 8 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms. All have tea/coffee making facilities.
There is central heating throughout and the spacious lounge, which overlooks the Jed Water, also has a log fire for chillier evenings. Full breakfast and dinner are served in the attractive pine dining room. The emphasis is on home cooking using local produce.
The lodge is adjacent to the A68 and yet far enough from the road to offer peace and tranquility.
Personal service and warm hospitality is offered from the owner, Christine.

Rather unnerving wooden bridge to cross on approach road and generally untidy premises from the outside. However the interior was clean, beds comfortable, plentiful suppy of hot water, good breakfast, pleasant and helpful host and hostess.
