Built in the 1870's Feith Mhor (Fay Mhor) is a recently renovated, charming and substantial country house taking its Gaelic name from its surroundings -- great stillness.Set amidst delightful gardens and grounds it enjoys marvellous views to the West over the remote Monadhliath hills. 25 miles to the north is the highlands capital of Inverness and 7 miles to the south is Aviemore, the Cairngorms and its ski-centre.
Our area boasts a huge variety of wildlife and beyond the more common spieces of roe, red grouse and arctic hares are the more spectacular golden eagle, black cock and capercaillie. Up the glen large herds of red deer graze in the evening mist.A welcoming and comfortable base from which to enjoy the Highlands.
Feith Mhor offers Bed & Breakfast throughout the year (except when a block booking is in place) and provides an ideal base for exploring the Highlands, visiting its attractions or a walking holiday.Well appointed comfortable bedrooms.All bedrooms have en-suite facilities with private shower or bathrooms.Tea and coffee making facilities, television and radio alarms in each room.Breakfast normally includes 'Kathleen's porridge', home-made cakes, preserves made from our own

very nice house in its own grounds we were given a very nice welcome rooms were cosy and the dining room was from the old days very grand. The house keeper was very friendly and told us about the area and just a nice person. Managed to meet the owner and he was so nice let my boys see his birds of prey and got photos of them and we were able to play with his dogs. yes i would go back again and stay in the house

very nice house in its own grounds we were given a very nice welcome rooms were cosy and the dining room was from the old days very grand.
