Bridport is famous for the manufacture of nets, rope and twine which have been produced since the 13th century.

It boasts a leisure centre with swimming pool complex, thriving arts centre and museum.

The historic towns of Lyme Regis and Dorchester are a short drive away, Somerset and Devon are very close by. In short, Eypeleaze is the ideal base from which to explore.

Most of West Dorset is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty - from The Jurassic Coastline - England's first Natural World Heritage Site famous for it fossils to the rolling hills, home of the Cerne Giant.


Activities include: swimming, clay pigeon shooting, sea-fishing, fossil-hunting, horse riding, golf, (guests receive preferential green fees), numerous walks along the heritage coast line including Golden Cap ( the highest point on the south coast) and inland through the Marshwood Vale.

Mapperton Gardens, Athelhampton, Kingston Maurward Park, Clapton Court Gardens, Maiden Castle, Sherborne Castle, World Wide Butterflies, Hardy's Cottage, Broadwindsor Craft Centre,The Swannery and Sub Tropical Gardens at Abbotsbury.
