Empire Travel Lodge, Lochgilphead

Originally constructed as the Empire Cinema for the Empire Exhibition in Bellahouston Park in Glasgow in 1938. When the exhibition closed the cinema was dismantled and rebuilt in Lochgilphead.

It continued to operate as a cinema until 1990 and was then converted to Mid Argyll's only purpose built Travel Lodge. Located in the centre of Lochgilphead, surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Mid Argyll, the Empire Travel Lodge is the ideal stop-over for early morning or late return ferries to the Islands.

Each of our modern spacious bedrooms is tastefully decorated with full ensuite facilities with bath and shower. Tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, radio alarms and hairdryers are provided in each bedroom

Our bedrooms have been designed to ensure maximum comfort and offer the choice of Double, Twin and Family rooms. One bedroom has been adapted for the convenience of disabled guests and easily accessed by way of private rear car park.
