Drumchork Lodge Hotel, Achnasheen

Situated in Aultbea, in one of the most idyllic areas of the Western Highlands of Scotland, Drumchork Lodge Hotel is surrounded by stunning scenery, enabling you to relax in a haven of peace and tranquility.

The hotel is run by Scots born owners Frances Oates and John Clotworthy, who
have gained international renown for the hotel as “The Highland Home of Malt Whisky”, winning numerous awards for both the collections and presentations of Scotland’s National drink. In 2004 after 2 years of campaigning, they were granted a distillery licence - the first private licence in 190 years.


DIRECTIONS

By Road
Aultbea is well signposted and is best accessed from the North via the A835 (Inverness to Ullapool), then branch left at Braemore Junction back onto the A832. Access directly from the South along the A832 does involve single track road. Once in Aultbea the hotel is well signposted.


By Rail
Whilst there are no direct rail services, for those wishing to travel to Drumchork via train there are frequent services to Inverness (60 miles) and Achnasheen (most northerly station on the west coast). By Plane
The most convenient airport is Inverness (60 miles) from where you can hire a car. You may also fly in Glasgow airport from where car hire is also available.

By Ferry
