Crown Hotel Guest House
Built in 1890 this Victorian B&B Guest House is a terraced villa in a peaceful and central location of Inverness. A very popular guest house for many years, local owners Gordon and Catriona Barbour have been in the business for several years and will make you very welcome

It is a short 5 minute walk from the train/bus stations and the Tourist Information office.

Our knowledge of the history of Scotland and in particular Inverness and the Highlands and Islands is exceptional and we are happy to answer all your questions.

The traditional dining room is elegant and bright with Victorian architectural features. We serve a delicious breakfast between 8am and 9am with many choices either cooked, or from our expansive buffet. Our traditional full cooked Scottish breakfast is exceptional. All produce is of the best quality, locally sourced and organic (when possible). For early breakfasts, we provide a nutritious takeaway packed breakfast. Vegetarians/Vegans and all other special diets catered for (please notify us when booking). Once you have eaten one of our breakfasts you will be full until dinner time. We take pleasure in making sure our guests have an excellent stay.

To relax please use our residents lounge located on the first floor. This traditional Victorian drawing room with its bay window gives views to the Black Isle, Moray Firth and beyond.
With comfortable couches and an expansive selection of books to choose from you can spend an enjoyable evening in comfort. A real home from home the lounge has a large screen digital TV, games consoles, DVDs and traditional board games for the whole family to enjoy.

We will recommend tours and the best places to visit. Our personally produced room guides include details on eating out and walks around the city of Inverness.

We enjoy making new acquaintances and talking about the part of the world where you come from. Our aim is to offer excellent value for money while making no compromises on quality. We look forward to welcoming you to our city and our guest house!

You will find few parts of Scotland offer such variety in easy reach. Loch Ness with its monster, the beautiful village of Drumnadrochit, Skye and the west coast, the rugged North Highlands and the fertile east coast with the Whisky trail. These are just a few of the day trips possible from Inverness.

You'll find shops, restaurants and friendly pubs with traditional music. Visit the castle, museum, cathedral, art gallery, floral hall and theatre. Or why not take a guided walking tour of the city to learn about its long history or be brave and take the ghost walk? There is never a moment without something to do!
