Creag Dhubh
Creag Dhubh is a Family run Bed and Breakfast set in own grounds with lovely panoramic views across Loch Fyne to the Cowal Peninsula. Only 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Residents lounge, with open fire. Free Residents parking. Single occupancy available at a small supplement.

The New Town of Inveraray was built between 1753 and 1776. It was created a Burgh of Barony by James III in 1474 and a Royal Burgh in 1648 by Charles I. Two hundred and fifty years ago there were no houses here.

The Old Town is 300 years old. Much of The Old Town was destroyed when the 3rd Duke and 12th Earl of Argyll decided in 1744 to replace the ruinous old castle with a splendid new mansion. The Duke moved the town to a new site in order to landscape his grounds.

We had a slight issue about gaining entry, but this was soon overcome with good humour & Scottish hospitality
