Ground floor accommodation also in Lodge annex with wheelchair access. Dinners by arrangement. Special diets catered for.
It is peacefully situated close to the River Teviot, with panoramic views, just off the A698 which links the historic towns of Jedburgh and Kelso. Excellent base for golfers, especially those wanting to combine playing some of the 22 challenging courses of the Borders with Tuition, Swing Analysis, and Club Fitting from our resident Golf Pro./Club Maker. Ask about the Freedom Of The Fairways Passport! Fishermen and bikers also welcome. (Safe storage for bikes)

Right on route for St Cuthbert's Way, walkers find here a haven to relax after the rigours of the day. Back-up service available, pack lunches etc.

We have plenty of safe off- road parking and garage for motor cycles, mountain bikes etc. The garden is there to be enjoyed by our visitors with seating. WiFi is available. Dinners by arrangement and special diets catered for.

Hotel Policies:

Check-in is normally after 1500hrs and check-out 10.30hrs. By pre-arrangement, these times may be adjusted if other bookings allow. No children under nine years.(no family rooms)Deposit of £15.00 per person at time of booking. Non refundable if less than 48hrs notice of cancellation.

Directions:

From A68, just north of Jedburgh, take the A698, direction Kelso. Within one mile, the "Caddymann" restaurant and Mounthooly Golf Driving Range, are on the left. One mile past, turn left in to the B6400, signposted Nisbet and Harestanes Visitor Centre. Crailing Old School is the first house on the right hand side. From Kelso, on the A698, bypass the Crailing sign and half a mile further on turn right in to B6400. There are buses from both Jedburgh and Kelso which stop at the junction with the B6400. Walking St Cuthbert's Way,turn left out of the gate on to the B6400, opposite Monteviot Estate, and proceed towards Nisbet to cross the Teviot, direction A698. Crailing Old School is on the left before the junction with the main road. Alternatively, continue through Monteviot Estate, over the swing bridge towards Jedfoot Bridge and Dere Street. Above Palace Farm, through the woods, drop down to cross the A698 near Crailing and follow Crailing Kirk and Kirkmains to join the B6400.

Stay at the Crailing Old School bed and breakfast ws most pleasant and enjoyable. Our accomodation was most comfortable and breakfast excellent. Our hosts were most friendly and certainly very nice place to stay

Nearby Attractions:

The river Teviot for excellent salmon, trout and grayling fishing is less than half a mile away. Fly fishing instruction can be arranged. There are twenty two golf courses within easy reach, including the Roxburghe Championship Course (five miles)Tee times can be arranged before arrival. "Bunkered" (two for one)vouchers can be purchased and our resident pro. is available for golf lessons. Riding lessons can also be booked nearby. Glentress, near Peebles, is a mountain-biker's paradise and also has an Osprey Watching Centre.The historic towns of Jedburgh and Kelso are within easy reach. Historic castles/houses in the area include Floors Castle(home of the Duke of Roxburghe)Mellerstain,Manderston, Traquair, Abbotsford (home of Sir Walter Scott, Neidpath Castle.
