Cobbles
Situated in one of the loveliest parts of East Anglia, a friendly welcome awaits you at Cobbles.

In the centre of Clare, Cobbles is a delightful listed 14th century house, full of character and old-world charm. In the pretty walled garden, we have an oak-beamed, wattle and daub Garden Cottage dating back to mediaeval times.

The Garden Cottage is twin-bedded, en suite, with its own private access down the side of the house. It has its own sitting area, with TV, fridge, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. Always popular, it is very cosy in winter, and delightful in summer, when the garden comes into its own.

Breakfast is served in the house between 7am and 9am.

Clare is an historic market town. The Castle, the Priory and Country Park are close by, with fine river walks. There are excellent pubs and restaurants within walking distance for lunches and evening meals, or you may want to explore further afield, in the local neighbouring villages. There is no shortage of antique shops and ancient buildings to visit.

Going towards Cambridge from the centre of Clare, we are150 yards down Nethergate Street on the right hand side. There are oak posts and chains in front of the house. For the benefit of all our guests, we are strictly non-smoking.

It is a great help if we know what time to expect you and we very much look forward to meeting you.

We could not have been made more welcome at "Cobbles". The accomodation was excellent and our hosts delightful. The village is lovely, and there is plenty to see. We were sent off with a hearty cooked breakfast and would not hesitate to recommend "Cobbles" to other visitors.
