Claremont House was originally built as a lodge to Fieldside Manor. The 4 star Guest House is an attractive white building set in about one acre of mature grounds and gardens where red squirrels visit on a daily basis.

Every effort is made to help you enjoy your stay, we have lots of advice on what to see and do while you are here in the heart of the Lake District, the most beautiful corner of England.

Our six bedrooms, two king, three double and one twin are tastefully furnished and attractively decorated.

Our large cold breakfast table typically consists of - various cereals, fruit, brown and white bread for toasting and croissants, various jams and marmalades, various yoghurts.

English breakfast cooked to order, local produce used where possible.

Claremont House is in a great location, a 10 minute walk into Keswick. Friendly and helpful owners, a good breakfast with plenty of choice, we were very happy all round.

Nearby Attractions:

Within easy reach are the delights of the peaceful Eden Valley, Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish Borders. Historic Carlisle, the great border city, is only 40 minutes drive away.
You don't have to go out in your car to see the wonderful views, there are many walks that can be done from our front door.
