The description on this site is not exaggerated. Our stay here was an outstanding experience . A historic, atmospheric pub with a lovely conservatory-type dining area and garden. We had a well-appointed suite with generous tea/coffee facilities in the room. There was an ample breakfast, and the evening meal was probably the best on our trip - creative and beautifully cooked and served. The staff were very hospitable and welcoming. All in all a delightful stay - sorry we can't make it back for the Christmas menu which looks superb.

We stayed here for the first time and the room the food and service were second to none. Steve has the fillet steak on the black rock grill and i had the Louisianna fish pie they both tasted fantastic. We recommended this establishment very highly. Thankyou Chequers.
